Ithmid (Surmah/Kuhl)

Authentic Arabic kuhl, known as Ithmid Kuhl, is derived from a natural mineral stone found in the earth. The stone is carefully ground into a fine powder, which is then applied to the eyes and eyelashes.

Historically, Ithmid kuhl was used to:

Enhance and define the eyes

Darken and strengthen eyelashes

Help protect the eyes from harsh sunlight

Support overall eye care

Method of application:

Narrated by Tirmidhi that Ibn Abbass (Radi Allaho Anhu) said: "Whenever the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) used to apply Kohl, he would use it thrice in the right eye; beginning with it and finishing with it and twice in the left eye.” Use preferably before sleeping.
